Description http://johnnygofaster.googlepages.com/2001schwinnfastbackpro [link] The above website has lots of info, photos, and my boring diatribe. If you don't trust external links, here's a messy version of the website: CONTACT: sixpantsmaloney@gmail.comREFERENCES: Look on eBay [link] Frame Size: 52cm Equivalent (compact geometry)Frame Material: AluminumFront Fork: Reynold Ouzo Comp (Carbon)Headset: Cane CreekBottom Bracket: NoneMiles: No idea. From the looks, a few thousand.Raced?: If you consider 1 pathetic sprint triathlon, then yes. Otherwise, I don't know for certain but I imagine it has been raced in its lifetime.Review:HereWeight: 2.75lbs (note: from web, not my measurement. If you're worried about weight you're probably too good for this frame)Ugly Rug: Yours if you have a nice one to trade. * I'm not firm on the price. $200 seems fair, but I could be way off. If you can support/justify a lower price, I'm game. This is my 2001 Schwinn Fastback Pro. I rode it for a season, went to get fitted, and found out the frame was smaller than I thought (more accurately what I was told by the previous owner). So let's get the geometry out of the way first. This is a compact frame (sloping top tube) so it's a 52cm equivalent. The distance from the head tube to the seat tube (where a traditional top tube would be) is almost exactly 52cm. I didn't measure the stand over before boxing it; however, by looking at the photos you can tell it would suit shorter riders. About me: I'm 5'11, 85.2cm inseam, 66cm arm length, 61cm torso (corrected). I had a 2-3 inch drop from saddle to the bars which caused neck discomfort. The saddle was as far back as possible. During fitting we found out it was impossible to get my knee into a good position. The previous owner rode the bike for a few years. He was the same height and had no problems. I've never crashed the frame, the original owner said he didn't, but judging from some scrapes on the gruppo (namely the right side crank and read derailleur) I suspect something may have happened. That said, there's no frame damage other than cosmetic. The frame isn't pretty as you can see. It has its fair share of nicks, scratches, and paint chips. That nasty one on the downtube near the bottom bracket shell was my fault. I used packing tape on the cadence sensor (per Sheldon Brown's suggestion) but it pulled off the paint. The ride is stiff. I disagree with a description I read as, "compliant". Relative to my Cannondale R900, it rattles your fillings. That said, if you want a stiff frame that climbs like a rocket you could do worse. PHOTOS: Click to enlarge. Most photos I took to show nicks, chips.
