Raleigh Recalls Ladies 19" SC300
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kinesis Industry Co. Ltd. of China and Raleigh America Inc., of Kent, WA., are voluntarily recalling 110 bicycles. The frame on the bicycles can break, which can cause the rider to lose control and crash.

Raleigh America has received five reports of frames breaking including one incident where the consumer reported a skinned knee.

The recall involves the 2002 Raleigh Ladies 19" SC300 Bicycles. Only the 19" Ladies frame size is affected. No other sizes are affected. The model is two tone blue. Authorized Raleigh dealers sold the Ladies 19" SC300 bicycles nationwide from October 1, 2001 through June of 2002 for about $449.00.

Consumers should immediately stop using their 2002 Raleigh Ladies 19" SC300 Bicycles and should return them to an authorized Raleigh dealer to receive a free replacement frame. For more information or for the name of the nearest authorized Raleigh dealer, consumers can call Raleigh America at 1-800-805-6396 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST Monday through Friday.
