Cannondale's with Manitou Forks? Cannondale downhill team bikes where at Sea Otter Classic mounting Manitou Dorado 180DH forks. Cannondale was on of the few companies in the world that developed their own forks for both Cross Country as for Downhill bicycles.

Cannondale has already officialy announced that their downhill team will use these Manitou forks during all the current season. At present, 45 units of the Dorado model have been built, and they are all being used by pro riders, but Answer’s plan is to begin the sell of this product by August. The production forks will be nearly identical to race versions.

The Dorado 180DH is an MRD (Manitou Racing Development) project. All Dorado 180DH forks are hand built.

The Dorado 180DH has 180 millimeters of travel, uses 30-millimeter alloy stanchion tubes, carbon fiber sliders, a 3-bolt oversize lower crown, and an innovative, proprietary axle Hex-Lok design. The MRD handlebar clamp will be included with the fork.

The Dorado 180DH features TPC Plus damping, full independent compression and rebound damping, with a special displacement compensator system which pressurizes the damper (because the system is now upside down).
