![]() CatEye Bike Head Light HL-MC200 By: Cateye Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 2 More Information Very Good Little Light Strengths: bright light beam, inexpensive, easy to setup Cons: weird light pattern makes it hard to see out of one corner, battery cover can be hard to take off, unit feels kind of flimsy I can get well over an hour with this little light (I havent tested it past this point). It uses 4 AA batteries. I use rechargeable Nimhs (2400mah) and I get very good performance. Very good light for the recreational rider because of the low price. Beam is more than adequate although it emits a strange light pattern. I tested this light with the LEDs in the bike shop (I know its difficult to get a true measure with indoor lights on) but this one seemed to be the brightest for under $40. I would recommend this light to a friend who does recreational riding like me. But if you are rought with your equipment or do more riding, youll have to pay more for a higher quality unit. great light Ive had this light for about 3 years. Great headlight -- I like the mounting bracket, and the bulb provides sufficient light for riding at night. Kind of a battery drainer, but I use rechargables. My only complaint is that I broke the bulb and neither Radio Shack nor the local bike shops seem to stock replacements. Im off to do a Google search now. |
