Nice rack pack     On: 2008-09-13

Ive been using the product for a couple of months now, and I have had no problems. It is well-made and looks nice on my trike. I especially like the reflective tape on the paniers. It really shows up in a night shot and hopefully cars will spot me that much easier.
Not to shabby     On: 2008-09-02

This bag worked great for my trip between Pittsburgh and DC. I did not camp so the bag held everything I needed for the 4-day trip without using the panniers. The reflective tape is highly visible and the Velcro straps to secure the bag to my bike were OK. I would buy it again.
Great Bag     On: 2008-08-30

I liked this bag so much that my wife had me get one for her. The insulated compartment is great for keeping food cool for picnics and trips to the grocery store. With all the neatly stow-able saddle bags one can carry an enormous amount of goods. A must have. Remember you need a rack to attach the bag to using the integrated Velcro straps.
Perfect commuter bag     On: 2008-07-28

Ive had the toploader 3 bag for 2 years. I use it mainly for commuting, but Ive also used it for mountain biking and light touring.

The drop down panniers arent as big as the Topeak panniers, but theyre big enough to hold my pants, shoes, towel, plus other stuff. The main compartment is insulated and holds my lunch. I stick my spare tube, patches, lock, etc. in the expandable lid. The rear pocket holds my tools.

The bag has been great and shows now wear other than mud splashing up on the bottom. Better the bag than my back, eh?

My only complaint is that the bag is big enough to warrant a shoulder strap. Its actually pretty inconvenient when the bag is full to carry by just the handle.

Actually, I have one more complaint. A light mounted on the light strap in the back always points down. Even with the pocket full.

But other than those two complaints, I love the bag.
Good bag     On: 2008-05-17

I just bought this bag at my LBS so I cant say how it holds up yet. Its a large bag with lots of zippers. One compartment is insulated which is good for snacks/sandwiches on day trips. There is another compartment above the insulated one. This compartment expands. There is also a small rear compartment. One thing not mentioned in the description is that the two side compartment are built-in pannier bags. The pannier bags are a light nylon but seems durable (especially compared to a similar cannon bag). Each pannier bag has a shock cord to prevent them flopping around as you ride. There is a laced bungy cord on top to hold down more gear. It also has duffle bag style handles for carrying/using when away from the bike. It has four velcro straps to fasten it to the rack.

My only complaints (which are minor) is it has many zippers and it takes me a bit of guess work to unzip the right compartment. Also it would have been nice it the carry handles were removable. They sometimes get in the way of the zippers. Overall Im very pleased with the bag and think it will be great for day rides.
