Now these are pedals

I bought these to replace the pedals that came from the box of a Mongoose bike that really were crappy and did not even climbed 5 degrees. Changing these were a bliss, and for performance I must say that it actually added stability to my riding and confidence for jumps and climbs, its the best thing that could have happened to my bike. About looks well I got mines copper orange that matches the bike. Your feet will feel safe and definetely it is easier to pump punch to every paddle.
