GREAT ECONOMY GEAR CABLE!!!

This is the lowest priced tandem gear cable out there!!!
However the shipping is a bit high unless you buy MANY!

This cable is of the standard Shimano SIS sizing and it is covered with the "PTFE" or "Teflon" type black coating. The coating, weather it is actual "Teflon" or a cheap knock-off Teflon, who knows.
My experience is the best, longest lasting inner cables are the uncoated, bare stainless steel.

Why?? Because stainless doesnt rust or corrode in any way & does not require lubricant, last as long as possible with little or no maintenance. When the maker "coats" the cable it seems to cover the plain steel wire. Plain steel works well but when moisture hits it -IT RUSTS!! Stainless does not rust or gall or drag.

A little bit of tech-
When using coated cables, installed into new cable housing jacket & ferule, a small amount of the coating will drag-off or shave off on the opening of the ferule (as a black "powder"). I guess the worst part about coated inner cable is the coating is merely sprayed on the wire.
So it works great for the short term but soon wears off leaving a bare steel cable to drag on the housing.
