![]() Shimano TL-CT10 Wire Cutter By: Shimano Average Rating: 5.0 Total Reviews: 2 More Information Very sharp, good leverage Ive had a pair of these for 15 years and they are still sharp. That includes a 2 year period where I worked in a shop as a bike mechanic. Much better made than Park Tools cutter. Lately Ive been using them for stainless steel wire, which is hard on cutters, and theyre holding up well. Shimano control wire cutter I purchased a shimano TL-CT10 wire cutter about 18 month ago. The tool is a joy to use. Designed for smaller asian male hands, the tool fits my hands well also, I wear a medium size glove most of the time. The ergonomics are excellent, mechanical advantage is enhanced by the grip design. The cutting edges are very hard, but I reserve the tool for cable or shimano control housing, and I dont use it on coiled housing. For coiled traditional housing I usually use a dremel with a cut off wheel. Please wear safety glasses when using this tool or the dremel to cut cable and housing. Watch out for snap back that could drive cable, housing, or fragments into your cornea. Jerry Shimano control wire cutter I purchased a shimano TL-CT10 wire cutter about 18 month ago.
