I purchased these shoes after being sold on the stiff sole and great ventilation.

The soles are indeed stiff, so much so, that you need to match up the pedals accordingly. I got new speedplay zeros to go with the shoes which was a big mistake as I went through agony with pain in my arches. I was told by a different sales associate that he would never recommend speedplay for a female rider. I switched to keo look pedals and it fixed the problem.

The biggest disappointment with these shoe is that they are poorly ventilated. My feet are on fire on hot days, there is no meshing on the shoes, which should have sent up a red flag when I purchased them. I am looking foward to cooler fall weather to get some relief.

The power transfer with the look pedals is seemless and the shoes do fit very well. I would suggest to any female rider to go with a broader pedal platform for these shoes and you should have no problems.
