This carrier does what it designed to do but it could use some improvement. First, it was no easy feat to assemble and I am pretty handy and follow diections well. Secondly, once the child is in, the belt assembly has to be slipped through slits to the back where a hook and loop fastener holds them together. I dont see where that is really very safe. In addition, the plastic guard under the seat has scrathced the back of my ankle several times and I have started riding with my foot more forward on the pedal than I normally would. Still, it does the job of carrying my 2 years on my bike, and he enjoys it.
