This little dealy works great on 44t size cranksets. It can support a 46t cyclocross size, like the high end Sugino XD600, if you put just a bit of pad at the back-bottom under the clamp to tilt it by a small amount.
Shifting in either case is quick and responsive with no chain drop. The shifting is so good that it can work with cranksets that need a bit of force.
