![]() Ritchey Road Pro Peloton Pedal 9/16 w/Cleats Blk/Sil Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Good basic pedal I was using Look Keos, but had problems with the cleats - they kept snapping! I guess they are too thin and fragile. This once caused a pretty bad crash in a sprint when my foot unclipped, so I decided to go back to the older Look-style pedals, which these Ritcheys are. Have been using them about 1 month. So far, so good. The cleats are exactly the same as the older Looks, so no problems with premature wear. Also, the tension adjustment is located under the pedal....where it should be. The Keos is on top, where the metal part eventually started wearing into the carbon sole of my shoes! So far, there are only a couple of minor negatives with the Ritcheys: 1. The cleats, like the old Looks, can be squeaky. (However, this can be fixed by getting the newer bi-material delta cleats which Look has now started producing), 2. The stack height is bigger than the new Keos....but hey, whats the use of thinner cleats if they keep breaking?? Overall, I would say these are an excellent value. Good pedals, just get the new bi-material cleats to stay squeak-free and you should be in heaven. |
