My 2y1/2 son broke it On: 2010-04-12
That says a lot about the quality! My son took the "grab bar" and just snapped it out of the seat So much for a security feature.
And it is very difficult to lock the seat on the track. Fortunately I dont have to remove the seat but otherwise I would have considered returning this item.
Worked well. On: 2010-01-23
It supported my 3 years old daughter who does not want to ride her bike for a long cruise around the village. Which worked for me, lost more weight having her as an added weight going around town. It was easy to install if you are mechanicaly inclined. Once the base is installed, the seat can be removed in less than 10seconds if you just want to ride around without your child. The back rest is high enough to protect your childs neck and covers the childs whole body, which is great in case of a fall unlike those that I have seen that are short exposing your kids neck and head.
Good quality for the price On: 2009-12-19
This is the second brand bike seat I purchased. The first type was not large enough for my two year old, who is twenty three pound and average height, even though the description listed up to 40lbs. This seat allows you to adjust the straps, just like your car seat, when your child gets taller. The lap bar is also high enough to not constrict their movement too much. You can also strap theyre feet in if you have a little kicker behind you. Recommend
May not work for your bike On: 2009-09-22
I could not mount the bike rack on my very normal bike with the parts included. Copilot does not carry a list of compatible and incompatible bikes. I had to pay a bike tech to jerry-rig a solution.
Instructions are misleading On: 2009-08-29
The instructions for this suggest one can simply slide the seat onto the rack. Thats not the case, however. After a maddening hour or so, I used a flat-head screw driver to leverage the seat on the front of the rack. Looks like a design or manufacturing flaw prevents one from sliding it on. I havent used it yet, but I came within minutes of packing it back up and returning it. Lets hope its flaws do not extend to how safe it is.
