More Information

Great tire     On: 2008-07-08

I bought this tire for my husbands bike, and he loves it. We are not familiar with other tires. Hes only used the ones that came with the bike and then this one. So far, so good.
One of the Best Bike Tires     On: 2008-03-23

Picking a bike tire is very personable. In my opinion, the Continental Grand Prix 4000 is one of the best road tires available. This tire grips the road but more than that it provides a smooth ride. Many tires can do one or the other but not both. The tire is very fast with excellent rolling resistance.
It a little more expensive than the traditional bike tire but worth the price.
Continental Grand Prix 4000 Road Bike Tire, 700x23     On: 2007-05-18

I am now using my third set of these tires. Two of the previous four were good for four thousand miles. The other two suffered catastrophic glass cuts that could not be "fixed". I rarely have been able to ride more than about 1500-2000 miles on previous road tires, so am ecstatic about the durability of these GP4000s. I wouldnt buy any other tire now.

Nice     On: 2007-01-08

These are really nice tires. I used them, and went more than 1000 miles on my rear tire, with NO flats and very little wear (I only changes it because I had a big race and was worried about number of miles on them). Switched to Vredestein Fortezza tricomps, but still would recoment these to. They have a bit of a softer feel than the Tricomps, but can only be inflated to 120 psi (Tricomps give you 145).
