Questionable quality

I got these in and noticed they were pretty dang lightweight. That may be a good thing to some; not me, however. The axel is the strong chromoly material while the end caps are made of aluminum. The tool is made of aluminum as well.

Ive already partially stripped out the tool because it wasnt seated completely. The end caps Im unsure of as well. If you tighten them too far I can guarantee the threads will strip. While looking at my bike I realized that they really dont need to be tight though. The frame is constructed so the axel can only come out downward, and I dont think much pressure is needed to make sure of that. The frame holds it very securely side to side just by itself.

Even though they might not need to be tightened like lug nuts on a car, Id still feel much more confident in them if the caps were made of steel as well.

Initial ride seemed perfectly fine. I go mtn biking usually on the weekends... if they ever fail Ill be sure to let you guys know.

I received the hublox skewers today, installation was very easy. I replaced my quick release skewers because tires are the most common things stolen on bicycles. They are very light also. Good solid product. Its better then buying the $40-$50 ones. Hope this helps.
