This grease was recommended as a lube for the masthead sheives on my 50 year old sailboat. It is clear and easy to put on. I later learned that it is the grease used by the manufacturer of my new winch. It cost 1/4 the price as the same thing sold by the winch maker. I really like that it is clear so it doesnt make everything so dirty like regular grease. If it is good enough for the two applications above, it should be good enough for many things and I plan on using it for many more things.
