? Has anyone used this with Wee Ride Co-Pilot Trainer ?     On: 2010-01-05

Couple of questions:

1) Has anyone had any success combining the Adams Backrest for the Trail-a-Bike with the Wee Ride Co-Pilot Trainer (bike trailer)?

According to the amazon.com product page for this item (the "People who bought this also bought" section), some folks bough both items. So, I was just wondering if they were able to make them fit together, because some of the bike vendors Ive spoken **dont think** theyll be able to work together, because:

- Wee Ride Co-Pilot Trainer (bike trailer) has a seat diameter of 27.2mm
- Adams Backrest for the Trail-a-Bike needs a seat diameter of 25.4mm

2) Does anyone else have any recommendations on a bike trailer that will work with a backrest/seatbelt system (same brand or different brands) that are being sold at a price near or around the products described above?

- Around $50 for the backrest / seat belt system (or as close to that price as possible); and
- Around $70 for the bike trailer

Thanks!

Awesome Invention     On: 2009-09-10

We typically go for very long bike rides, this was great peace of mind with our 4 year old. We bought this last summer when he was 3 and he couldnt reach the pedals all the way, but we felt safe going on small bike rides with this seat back. We have had our trail-a-bike for 8 years now, and this was a huge improvement.

I bought this because my daughter lacks the coordination to ride alone and is too big now for a seat. She loves it. I added the Backrest to the trailabike for her safety and she feels much more confortable riding along with the seatbelt.
Love that it makes my son and myself feel more secure.     On: 2009-05-24

We bought this a couple of weeks before my son turned three. It was a great decision! On our first ride my son got nervous when we turned (bibycle leaned). I immediately reminded him that he had a seatbelt on and the nervousness just went away. At first I wondered if just one strap would be enough but it was.

Our granddaughter that is blind wanted a bike for her birthday. The Copilot was our answer. The backrest made us feel more secure as she learned!
3yr old's "big Boy" bike     On: 2009-02-25

Bought this for my 3yr old who is too big for a bike seat and not old enough for his own bike. He loves being a "big boy" and going for a ride on his *own* bike. I would highly recomend the optional seat back. Its great since my son isn"t quite coordinated enough to balance on his own.
great for peace of mind     On: 2008-10-08

My 5 year old is steady and calm on the trail-a-bike with the help of the backrest complete with seatbelt. A great addition to our morning commute!
Safety first!     On: 2008-09-13

It looks a little silly but it works!
My son is securely strapped to the trail-a-bike and I have the peace of mind that he isnt going to get bucked off on a pot-hole.
My son actually likes the security: the one time I forgot to buckle it he reminded me.
