Handlebar tape is all the same     On: 2010-02-01

Unless you are buying super low end, no name bar tape, it is all the same. This product is like anything you would see in any shop- good quailty bar tape. I purchased this product due to the urban camo color and good price.
firm and comfortable     On: 2010-01-04

works as it should.
very easy to install/uninstall.
so many colors to chose from.

i bought this tape to replace some old tape thats been worn thin on my old road bike. the box comes with everything you need except the scissors you might need to trim the excess at the end. it was easy to use and every forgiving to mistakes, if you make any.
Great grips     On: 2009-11-30

Im very happy with these. They were easy to install, and they offer much more padding than my old grips. The color was a little lighter than I expected from the image - definitely tan or sand colored, not darker brown.
Good tape     On: 2009-11-30

This is a good bar tape. It is nothing special. It is reasonably comfortable. It was pretty easy to install, much easier than other brands that I have used. I bought the urban camo for something to jazz up my bike, and it looks pretty neat on a blue bike. It is a subtle accessory on the bike.
Bought for my wife     On: 2009-10-27

My wife really wanted orange Handlebar Tape for her orange bike. Saw that Planet Bike was offering them and went ahead and purchased them. I got them in the mail yesterday and put the tape on the handlebars, the tape looks nice and feels great.
Good tape.     On: 2009-10-01

I bought this tape and wrapped my bars with it. It was comfortable and pretty spongy. There could be a bit more tape in the box, but I my bars are a little big. I wiped out a week after wrapping it and tore it all up, I ordered a second package the next day.
Works well for other anti-vibration uses too!     On: 2009-09-20

I used this tape to help insulate the extreme vibrations on my John Deere rider steering wheel from my arthritic hands. Worked very well for that use.
Comes off easily when you want it to.     On: 2009-09-05

Whats also good about this tape, is it came off with no problem, unlike whatever tape that originally was on my bars. That tape was backed with some kind of foam and an adhesive that tore the foam from the tape when removed. I spent about two hours scraping the foam off, first with fingernails, then with a guitar pick. After that I had to use a citrus-based solvent. In contrast, my other bike had the planet bike cork tape, and when I removed that, there was no problem at all.
Great bar tape     On: 2009-08-27

Never owned a road bike where I decided to install the bar tape myself. The tapes sticky backing is user friendly and forgiving if you need to rewrap the bar. Just keep the tape stretched as you wrap and you should be fine. Yellow shows the dirt but looks clean and accents the blue on the bike. Dont forget the bar end caps which are reflective besure to use a rubber mallet, makes things easier.
very cushy and stylish!     On: 2009-08-11

Im new to cycling. I bought this tape for style and comfort and it provides both! Its very soft on my hands and adds some color to my bike. I would buy this product again.
Great stuff!     On: 2009-08-09

Im a road biker of 25 years, this is the best tape I have ever used, far better than the Bontrager tape that came with my bike. Looks good, great cushion, goes on well with plenty of length. I have only had it on a couple of months but it feels like it will last a long time.

Performed as expected     On: 2009-08-03

This tape has more cushion than standard tape, and is similar to good cork. I found it easy to use, and it looks good.
Great, Easy-to-install Tape     On: 2009-07-07

It was the solid, creatively written instructions that made this handlebar tape a 5-star for me. They made even an installation-challenged person like myself knock them out in no time.

The "urban camo" color scheme looks great and has made my commuter bike fun and comfortable to ride (again)!
Slick and smooth     On: 2009-04-21

This is just what I needed for my old bike. Id recommend getting some shock absorbers for going under it, but even without them, its plenty of comfort.
didn't use it for my bike..     On: 2009-03-12

i was looking for something with nice grip and a nice look to it.. well this worked.. and it worked perfect...i used it for my pull-up bar.. gave it a nice great grip and feel to it ... makes you want to do pull-up for ever... lol... i really cant but overall it worked ..
It's good grip tape.     On: 2008-10-12

Its not very remarkable, but it does what is supposed to. I used it to replace some "tape" on my dads 1760s Shwinn Varsity, and am very pleased.
On the quality: It seems great. I dont have a whole lot of experience on the stuff, but it was very easy to put on for a couple of reasons. First off, it is stretchy, and wont tear if you pull it tight. Its actually quite difficult to stretch it to breaking point (of course you can, though). It is backed with a substance that is tacky, but not like glue. It might be the same type of stuff they stick on the bottom of cycling shorts to keep them from riding up. Anyway, its very forgiving if you mess up.
The one thing that I have noticed is that it is starting to unwind on one side. However, this is due to the way I wrapped that side. IT IS NECESSARY TO WRAP THIS STUFF WITH THE RIGHT METHOD. Google it or something. Also, the tape they gave me was not good or long enough. Have some electrical tape ready.

About the color. I bought the yellow, which was SOLID yellow and not flaked like the red-black deal in the picture. Its nice.
I would use again     On: 2008-08-12

This was the first time that I have used bar tape, it went on easily. I would recommend this to others.
Cushy Tape     On: 2008-04-21

This is fine for handlebar wrap. My only gripe is the "earth color is more of a pukr tan. I will likely use this wrap again but not this color
Good product     On: 2007-10-02

Wrapped my tour bike handle with this (charcoal) after my previous handle tape disintegrated after many years. Looks good, feels tough. Would like it a bit more cushy though.

Top rank--the very best!     On: 2007-03-19

This product preserves the body where you contact the handlebars, thus making more energy available for distance or speed. It works much better than most others.

For the 16 pound road bike climber/sprinter where weight is very expensive, the slight additional weight of the gel tape is worthy of the greater expense somewhere else on the bike. This isnt liquid gel, but rather a "marine foam" type backing on regular cork.
Its featherweight and luxurious. It helps on greater power for distance whenever the road gets rough.
