Crumpler THE HEE-GOER Computer Messenger Bag (Brown/Light Brown)
By: Crumpler
More Information

Decent bag for small laptop and a few books     On: 2009-10-12

A decent bag but missing a few essential items that keep it from being a great one.

Pros:
more internal organization (pockets/flaps) than other similarly sized bags ive had.
sturdy and durable.

Cons:
still not enough pockets/flaps for me.
not waterproof. for a messenger bag at this price i would expect some water proofing.
laptop pouch does not cover entire laptop (corners are exposed).
excess length of shoulder strap gets tucked in a loop on the side of the bag which feels bulky and looks jenky.
Impressive!     On: 2009-01-08

I received my Hee-Goer bag this evening and after playing around with it for while, I believe this may be the best laptop bag Ive every owned. However, there are a few things I think could have made it better.

The Crimson with red lining on the outside with the yellow interior compartment sections is very USC but I think its quite stylish.

First off, I just want to mention the quality of materials used. I wont get into the specifics as you can find that on the Crumpler website, but the straps and zippers seem quite sturdy and it looks like it can take a beating. It may be because its still new, but it feels somewhat rough to the touch. Im sure thats just temporary.

Also, Crumpler states that this bag is for those with 12" laptop screens, mainly the macbook. I have a 15.4" Sony Vaio that fits snug into the laptop compartment, so I wouldnt worry too much if you have a 15" laptop.
Theres also a boatload of pockets and zippered areas to store just about anything! I was able to fit a textbook and a few notebooks into it as well, not to mention the random pens and whatnot I tossed in there.

The third leg as Crumpler calls it is extremely helpful and comfortable! It felt as if I was wearing a backpack when I had the third leg secured.

Now, heres what I didnt like.

Theres no handle on top, so therefore you can only have it strapped over your shoulder therefore not be able carry it like a briefcase.

Also, the flap that goes over the bag is not quite as wide as the bag itself. Theres a 1" gap on each end which may allow rain or snow to get into your bag. I can imagine itd be different if you have the bag fully packed, but I have not done this yet.

Theres also a zippered compartment on the inside flap as well, however the zipper is at the bottom so if you open it while you have the bag on you, whatever you have in there will most likely fall out.

One last thing I wanted to point out, I purchased this bag from Amazon for $60 instead of the current listing price ($130). I am not sure how/why this occurred, but I found it interesting that the price went up to $130 the day after I purchased it (sorry!). Anyways, I would definitely recommend this bag as its my best friend right now. Would I have bought this if it was listed for $130? Maybe not, but its up to you how you wish to spend your money.
Great bag!     On: 2008-02-28

I bought it for my husband who uses it every day for work. He loves it. Very durable, light weigh, easy to open and close!
