This was given as a gift to my daughter. She loved everything about it, which is saying a lot as she is very particular about fit and style. It looks good and feels good on but there hasnt been any rain to give it a real test. There are times when her job requires that she be in the rain and this seems to be the right jacket for them. This is a comfortable and stylish jacket. Its lightweight and waterproof. I wear mine as a winter coat with a down liner and am comfortable down to 20 degrees F, or with a fleece liner for 30 to 55 degrees F. It has a hood, side pockets with zippers, and good sealing over seams and the front zipper. The zipper pulls are nylon strips, easy to use and not likely to fall off. There is a small logo along the left sleeve cuff that is mildly reflective--it would have been nice to add some large reflective surfaces to the jacket, regardless of fashion.
The jacket has a few drawbacks, however. The pockets are rather shallow and lined with mesh, which while light weight, doesnt agree well with car keys. My biggest complaint is with the wild application of Velcro. There are Velcro strips on the sleeves, which is good, but backwards, with the sticky part facing out so that the sleeves catch on anything furry. The Velcro on the sleeves particularly likes to catch on the Velcro strips along the front zipper, or along the pockets. Knit gloves also catch along the same front zipper and pocket Velcro strips. Thus, I constantly find myself jerking hands and arms to free them from getting caught on the Velcro. If the Velcro had been more thoughtfully applied, I would have given the jacket 5 stars, but in my opinion, it merits only 4 because of the annoyance factor.
