SRAM Rival DoubleTap 10-Speed Shifters
SRAM Rival OG 1070 10-Speed OpenGlide Road Bicycle Cassette

This derailleur was installed with SRAM Rival Double Tap Shifters, a KMC 10-speed Performance branded chain, and an SRM OpenGlide 10-speed cassette.

Setup was easy with just an adjustment of the B-screw. Otherwise, I didnt have to do much tensioning or adjustment to get the shifters just right.

I was a little worried that there was some play on between the derailleur body and the mounting plate/screw. However, when under the load of the chain, it seems that the play goes away.

Shifting with SRAM Rival is good, positive, has a mechanical feel, with positive audible clicks and feedback in your hands. The derailleur has a nice finish, and a cool cable guide to route the cable to the stop.

If you like the thought of trying something besides Shimano, Rival is a great way to go. This is a quality piece of machinery for your bike, and works great with the SRAM shifters and cogs.

I would give 5 stars if this were a higher-shelf item, like SRAM Force, and if the shifting were a tad bit more precise on the bigger cogs.
