![]() Allay by Topeak Racing Sport 1.1 Bicycle Seat (Large) By: Allay by Topeak Average Rating: 3.5 Total Reviews: 2 More Information No hype, just comfortable Allay by Topeak Racing 1.1 Bicycle Seat (Medium)I find this a very comfortable saddle. Within four weeks of installation I am back to riding 100+ mile rides with no discomfort. Break in time is non-existent as the firmness of the saddle is adjustable. In fact you can change it on the fly to suit you Doesn't live up to the hype. Ive been a cyclist for over 20 years so Ive gone through a few saddles in my time. Usually when you get a new saddle there is that "ooh" feeling of instant comfort. I expected no less than that after reading the ads for this saddle and going to the manufacturers website. Instead, I found the saddle to be the hardest I have ever sat my bottom on for an extended ride. Its especially hard around the edges where the inflatable bladder is located. With the default inflation from the factory it is a very poor saddle; It is improved when you inflate the adjustable bladder to a higher pressure. The edges of the saddle dont dig into the soft tissue of your bottom as much then. I cant even imagine riding it without the bladder as the ads show. All in all its not worth the price. Revised June 10, 2008: After another six weeks of riding, and a severe case of prostatitis, I have given up. If I could revise the rating to give it zero stars I would. |
