Great bad for a great price

This bag is great for a spacious place to put spare tire, tools, fix-a-flat, cable lock, cycling gloves and has plenty of room for key, wallet, lights etc. I use this with panniers to carry all my stuff to work everyday. This is not big enough for a full set of clothes with shoes or for a laptop.

As far as trunk bags go, this is pretty awesome. Construction is top notch, and all around this feels like a solid and well-built product. It has TONS of room for stuff, I threw in a polar fleece jacket, lunch and an extra water bottle and it fit well. The top flap has velcro on the back and sealing zippers up the sides and an expansion sleeve along the center that you can cinch down with a pair of straps. Inside, both sides are lined with mesh pockets, and theres a velcro-attached divider, that comes out pretty easily if you dont like it. Also, theres two side pockets for even more gear.

It attaches to the rack with 4 velcro straps and seems pretty solid. Its got some beefy padding throughout, so if your bike gets in a fight with something, Im sure your cargo has a high survival rate.

oh, and it came with a shoulder strap and a cool yellow rain cover with elastic and velcro. Havent tested that out yet, but I dont see why thered be any problem, its just a rain cover.

I just payed $54 + tax for this bag(im returning it to buy on amazon)
the bag is very good quality and is padded/insulated inside almost like a picnic cooler.to the reviewer who said "its not very big and not for commuting" apparently they have not used the bag expansion feature; i stuffed an XL polar fleece jacket in there and there would have been room for books, cell phone etc.the bag also has water resistant side pockets
to hold a bike pump and tools, tire kit. I really like the "fastback" look of the bag too . if you need any more room you should be looking at panniers instead,but this trunk is PLENTY big.

I still cant get over the amazon price here... DUH!!

Axiom Hudson Trunk Bag - good alternative to a saddle bag

This is a small bag is designed to fit on top of your trunk rack. It basically can hold just about your lunch, or your tool kit and gloves and keys and other necessities that you wouldnt want to put in your pocket or carry on your back. So, its not a commuter bag by any means, but its an attractive, slightly larger, alternative to a saddle bag or a handlebar bag.

For the price, this is a great trunk bag. Attractive lines, aerodynamic and functional with a rain cover included. It is easily detached from your rear rack to carry around with a shoulder strap included. I highly recommend this bag.
