I have had my Dahon foldable for over a year now. I love it. I get a lot of looks when I ride it, and people always compliment me or ask about it, so its a great conversation piece.
I have a "touring" type bike but I do not ride it much. The problem is that I do not like riding in a touring position if I am anywhere I need to see what is going on, and the touring bikes are made for going really fast, I do not think they are maneuverable or fun to ride. It feels easier and nicer riding this foldable, and it is easy to transport and get in and out of the car.
I do my riding mostly on smoother trails and not on traffic, but I enjoy the upright position I have on the Dahon bike. I ride for fitness and exercise so having the lightest bike detracts from getting a workout in a way. The Dahon is fun, and not hard to pedal, there are lighter more expensive versions, but the less effort it takes to ride the longer and farther one has to go for the same amount of exercise. I go about 20 miles a ride and my Dahon is perfect.
It stows away in my car easily. It is easy to ride and steer. It is comfortable and easy to see what is going on around you, and easy to maneuver. I recommend the Dahon for those who want a simple, basic, bicycle you can take with you wherever you do and not have to worry about bicycle racks. I just dump mine in the back of the car. I dont even have to fold it all the way up most of the time unless I want to.
It is easy to ride and easily adjustable. Im repeating myself but this bike is so much fun its easy to do. One thing, in my opinion what makes these bikes a bit harder to pedal is the small tires, and there are two sizes of tires. I would choose the larger size tired against the very small tires because of effort in pedaling and in vibration, but I am sure both sizes are fine, that is just my preference.

I bought this bike to make short errands to work and grocery store. I have to say its one of the best purchases I ever made. The bike is very steady, fast, comfortable, and very good-looking. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a fast, reliable folding bicycle.
