I ordered the Wide mouth bottle, and the vendor Reiss Innovations shipped me the narrow mouth version. Amazon wont do exchanges because its not stocked by them, but they will refund. The return process is very easy. But I have found no other way to contact Reiss to see if I placed the order again, if I would indeed get the right bottle. So Im leaving a 1 star review. Hey Reiss, contact me.

I decided to purchase a good water bottle when I realized how much plastic I was going through by bringing bottled water to work. When I began shopping, my criteria were that the bottle be BPA-free (I was pregnant at the time of purchase so this was especially important to me) and that it not be made in China. I looked at multiple brands before finally finding Nalgene at a sporting goods store.
Ive been using this bottle extensively for months and I love it. I at first wanted one with a drinking spout as unscrewing the cap and drinking from this bottle can be cumbersome and messy (especially while driving, as I found out) but Im glad I purchased this model as the wide opening makes it very easy to get ice in. I like my water very cold and this bottle can hold a lot of ice. The wide opening also makes it easier to clean the inside of the bottle, which works out especially well when I squeeze lime or lemon juice into the bottle.

Quality product.very good for putting ice in with the wide mouth. Good for large drinks especially if you just throw it in a backpack or what not. Virtually indestructible drop mine all the time and never once worried about it cracking. In fact I dont think I could break the thing if I wanted to. Put it in the dishwasher numerous times and have had absolutely no problem

This new bottle has no odor (because its BPA free) like the old one I used to have. After a couple of minutes in the sun my water tasted like a plastic factory AND it was harmful! I am glad they fixed em. These bottles are tough, you can drop them on rocks when full of water and theyll never break. The little strap attaching the cap will wear out long before the bottle.

I really like the wide mouth for putting in icecubes. The bottle is nice and sturdy and looks attractive.

Ive used Nalgene water bottles for backpacking for years. Theyre rugged, lightweight and a great choice for the outdoor enthusiast. I currently use a red version of this new BPA free water bottle everyday at work for ice water.
My only recommendation would be to check your local outdoor retailer stores. Ive found this same bottle for less (around $10)in several stores. Nice bottle but I wouldnt pay $15+ for it!

I own and regularly use 3 of these water bottles and I have to say they are the best water bottles Ive ever owned. First off I dont pretend to understand all of the science behind the BPA debate, but I always think that if you can err on the side of caution, why not do it, and in this case Nalgene has made it really easy. These bottles are very solid. I use them to take water or gatorade with me when I golf and they get smacked around a bit riding in the side compartment of my golf bag (I play a lot of walking courses) and Ive had no problems with them cracking or even getting scratched. The lids screw on easily and tightly and Ive never had one of these bottles leak.
Another great thing about them is that they have virtually no smell. They dont have any sort of plastic aftertaste and they wont make water taste nasty, even if it gets heated up by the sun.
I also like the thick plastic band that connects the lid to the bottle. It has a dual purpose: preventing the loss of the lid (obvious) and doubling as a loop which you can connect the bottle to a lanyard or rope for carrying it. This is handy with certain backpacks.
With a variety of great colors to choose from, there is little not to like about these water bottles. I highly recommend them.

My favorite thing about these new Nalgene bottles is that they do NOT smell like plastic. My water tastes like water, not plastic chemicals. And theyre pretty colors too :)
