![]() Axiom 40-Litre Lasalle Front/Rear Pannier Set By: Axiom Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 5 More Information Great panniers Ive used these for commuting for over a year, and they still look like new. I haul heavy college math and science books every day. The shoulder strap is great for when I get to school and need to carry everything around with me all day (I dont have anywhere to lock anything up). I use the elastic webbing at the top almost every day for my jacket or non-cycling shoes. I like having the side pocket for my water bottle as well. I generally use one bag at a time with no trouble. Ive been through heavy rain with these, and all of my stuff stayed dry, even when I forgot the rain cover. The attachment system is very secure. The way the attachment system comes, the elastic cord is only tied to the bag. It would be very easy to shorten and retie the cord if it didnt fit the rack, however, the cord has come untied on me a few times; I would recommend sewing or gluing the cord in place. I would totally buy these again. Big and Well Made! These are by far the best value out there on front panniers. There are better but at three to four times the cost! I will stick with these as they are a lifetime product. the Axiom 40-litre Lasalle Pannier I am happy with this pannier set. I use it almost everyday for commuting to and from work. It has kept my books and clothes dry in rain or shine. On longer rides I was surprised how much I could store. A tent, sleeping bag and clothes for a week. Side pockets for quick get at items or trash. Bright yellow covers worked well to keep road splatter and rain out when it got bad. To put on or take off, it just takes seconds. Negative points. Yellow covers not for the shy. Hook covering rubber wears off. Axiom Lasalle Panniers I like these bags quite a bit. Ive used them on one weekend camping trip and for daily commuting for a couple of months. There have been no problems with the bags coming unmounted, and one bag is big enough to hold my laptop and a change of clothes. They can be removed easily enough to take with me after parking my bike without too much trouble. For touring purposes, more external pocket space would be nice. The horizontal compression strap is intended to cross over the top of the external pocket, which I find annoying. I have not used them in heavy rain yet, but the bright yellow rain covers (included) look like theyll do a reasonable job keeping things dry. A great commuting bag Ive had this bag for over a year now. And they hold up good in all kinds of weather. Plenty of space and storage. The included rain covers are a plus. Good for touring also. Axioms are put together real well and are a bargain for the price. |
