![]() Julbo Infant/Toddler's Looping 2 Sunglasses with Cord By: Julbo Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 2 More Information Great Product I am so happy with this purchase. These sunglasses are non-toxic which is the reason I purchased them. We have gotten quite a few compliments on them. Another great feature of these glasses is that there isnt a right way to put them on so toddlers can put them on themselves! Pluses and Minuses Versus IPlay Fun Flexi Specs I bought both this and the IPlay Fun Flexi Specs - Lime Multi Dot to compare the two. It comes in a drawstring fabric bag with "Julbo Looping 2" imprinted on it. A label on the lens says "SPECTRON cat. 4 / protection 100% UV"; according to the instruction sheet included, this means they are polycarbonate, allow 3%-8% visible light transmission, and protect 100% against UVA and UVB. The frame front is about 3.75 inches wide and 1.5 inches high. The temples (which have no hinges) are about 4.5 inches long and are straight (i.e., do not bend behind the ear). An adjustable elastic strap attached to the ends of the temples (but that is detachable) can stretch to over a foot in length. The inside of the frame indicates "Made in France." PLUSES: The sunglasses are definitely more stylish than the IPlay Fun Flexi Specs. I could not get the lenses to pop out. It has 180 degree rotational symmetry (i.e., there is no "right" or "wrong" side up). The bridge is softer than the rest of the frame front, so should be comfortable on the nose. The sunglasses float, but just barely (i.e., only a small part of the frame is above the waters surface). MINUSES: Although the ends of the temples are rounded, they are also flat, which could pose a hazard in terms of a child poking his/her eyes. I didnt see the need for such a long elastic strap (seems like 4" would have been enough). The frame front is not as flexible as either the temples or the frame front of the IPlay Fun Flexi Specs. Finally, the price is high for something that a child could misplace or damage. Buy this from Amazon.com! |
