More Information Agreed, defective design - elbow pads slip I agree with the above poster. I have owned these bars for a few months now, and have had endless problems with the pad slipping when I hit a bump. I finally gave up on them after the elbow pads slipped on my last TT event. I tried everything, including tightening the clamp even tighter, applying Tac-x carbon compound, and finally by lightly sanding them and then applying Tac-x compound. Additionally, the downward bend at the leading end of the bar cocks my wrists downward at a very uncomfortable angle. Otherwise, these would have been a nice, lightweight, fairly sharp-looking aero bar. But after they failed on me again, I am getting rid of them asap. lots of good option but....it's a defective product I really like the look the light weight and the options to make the right fit BUT....the elbow rests slip so easily I spent half of my time trying to retighten the bolts to keep it from slipping down. Heck I even broght along an alien wrench to adjust it in mid race. So overall I would say they have a defective design on a potentially outstanding product. I went to 3 bike shops and even had carbon tape applied but that did not even work, no question about it, it is defective and I would never buy it again |
