Reviews Quality bag. Found a good price on it. Happy.  by: on: 08-Jul 2009 If you are new to the bike world and have no delusions about riding the Tour de France, this review may be of use to you. I am a novice. I want to ride to work and home and get a little exercise. I will keep a change of clothes at work. I can fit my lunch, litre plus of water, a towel, repair kit, and odds and ends in the main. If I need more room, I can stuff the panniers. If you are envisioning long tours with overnight camping, you probably want something more substantial. This is ideal. Topeak seems to make high Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EX with Side Panniersquality stuff. My first inclination was to get the cheapest rack and bungee a lunch box to it. All and all, I am glad that I bought the Topeak rack and bag system. If you don't want the cool system, you may go for the cheap. But I am really impressed by the quality. Incidently, I am too cheap to buy the special Topeak light to affix to the rack. I cut a 2 3/4" piece of dowel, stuck it in between the vertical, rear handle (visible in pic), and rapped my seat post rear light around it. If you don't have a dowel laying around, a little piece of PVC or the like would work just fine. The reflector that came with the bike fit in the little attachment on the rack itself. VERY COOL! by: on: 12-May 2009 I love how this trunk bag slides easily on and off my bike rack! Very clever design. The panniers fold up easily, and are very compact when zipped up and not in use. The handle on top is great. Roomy compartment on top. I use this almost every day, and am very glad I purchased it! Not what I expected  by: on: 27-Apr 2009 This bag is a high quality product and may be a great option for you if it fits your needs. But it is not as big as I thought. I was swayed by some of the reviews I read here where I thought I could pack a complete change of clothes for commuting purposes. This is simply not the case. This bag is advertised as about 1000ci and I have determined that I'll need at least 1300ci bag for my purposes. The shipping and RMA process by Amazon is great. excellent Topeak product by: on: 06-Feb 2009 This bag is plenty big enough for credit card touring of several days duration. I can fit a Performance rain jacket, pants, and booties plus my fall weight wind breaker and pants, with leg, arm warmers, vest, and gloves. Still with room to spare in each pannier plus the top rack bag. I also purchased the Expedition rack and it fits this bag and my smaller RX bag as well. View All ReviewsView All Panniers/Bags |
