Everything I might want in a chain.       rating

It's smooth, it shifts quickly, it doesn't get bound-up links like my old Shimano chain, and the Powerlink makes it a snap to take off & clean. Love it!

SRAM has always worked well with my Shimano components. The best part of all is Power Link for disassembly and cleaning when the chain gets grungy.

I love SRAM chains. They look good and are so easy to use. Just match the length and put it on.
Get Shimano chain to go with Shimano derailleurs       rating

The gray chain came on my bike stock and it was giving me annoying shifting problems and lots of rubbing on the front derailleur. The quick release link brakes easy and is expensive to replace. Works well for fixing it quickly but I'd rather get a strong chain than a chain that is easy to fix.
