Reviews Happy/joy  by: on: 23-Oct 2010 Easily completed assembly, pleased with workmanship and detail, arrived in box, finish intact, all parts present. Left off the waterbottles, and only issue is that I'm unable to loft the leg over the second set of handle bars, end up lying bike on side partly, straddling, then standing bike up. Works as described, gears fine with a short learning curve. Recommend reading about tandem cycling to be clear on difference in balance, brakes, and turning radius prior to trial. Trialed solo, and need extra power to manage except on flat areas. Would recommend for all but novices. Great Value! by: on: 18-Oct 2010 I've ridden a long time and bought my share of high quality bikes, so I was really hesitant to buy what I perceived as a discount department or toy store quality bike. But for our first and perhaps only tandem, I was quite impressed -- this bike turned out to be a better deal than I anticipated. It arrived with only minor cosmetic damage (scratches on handlebars), was easy to assemble, stylish with a VG paint scheme and finish, and VG components for the money. Plus the wheels came already trued -- which surprised me also. The wheels and seat posts do not offer quick-release design, however. I personally have to remove the front wheel, front seat/rear handlebar assembly and pedals for roof rack transport, so I plan to buy upgraded wheels and quick-release clamps for the seats. As others have noted, if you lack the time and/or mechanical knowledge, it's always a good idea to take the bike to your local bike shop to make sure all bearings are greased, wheels trued, and brakes and derailleurs adjusted before your first ride. Overall, I recommend this tandem as a great buy! Lots of fun by: on: 17-Oct 2010 Great bike for the price. Have had lots of fun riding with my son. It is a very large bike so transportation can be a challenge. Kent Dual Drive Tamdem Comfort Bike  by: on: 25-Sep 2010 I like to be able to ride with my wife, but the seats for this bike are not as comfortable as we like. And the front seat is a little too tall for me so I have to modify it to make it lower and it would not be easy to go up a little incline hills even with both of us paddling. It has 21 speeds, but it still not as fast as it designs for. Other than that, we like the bike very much. We only ride about couple times though.
