Reviews slows down the thieves  by: on: 28-Aug 2009 I bought this after my seat/seat post were stolen. This might slow down theives. They'd have to carry bolt cutters to steal your seat, and that'd make them sorta comspicuous. I figure this is the best you can hope for on seat protection that is easy enough to use all the time. I hate thieves. Should shoot them, but you can't. Good Product  by: on: 19-Apr 2009 Good product that is easy to install and works as a deterent for someone walking off with your bike seat. Probably could be cut with wire cutters, but again, not someone just walking by. I also looped through my saddle bag as once someone decided to take my bag off my locked bike(at least they left the garage door opener). Don't use to lock expensive bike  by: on: 15-Apr 2009 My friend Mike has one of these 3mm cables. I told him it was no good, but he maintained that it was uncuttable. I took a pair of simple utility shears and cut clean through it in under a minute. The shears were destroyed, but no more bike cable. Imagine what a bolt cutter can do. Let's face it, it's a 3mm (millimeter) cable. It will deter middle school children and pets from stealing, but that's about it. DO NOT USE IT TO LOCK EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT. Only VERY heavy duty chain locks and U-locks should be trusted on expensive bicycles. Combination locks can be smashed easily with hammers. Planet Bike Seat Leash by: on: 28-Feb 2009 This is a nice good quality study cable which is the perfect size to secure your seat without being in the way. You can attach it to your bike in such a way so it will wrap around itself and the seat and not need an additional lock. The diagram is on the planet bike plastic tag attached to the cable when you receive it. I live in the city and I hate the thought of coming out to get my bike and the seat is gone.
