Reviews Great fit for the 700c x 35 hybrids by: on: 15-May 2010 As a bicycle commuter with a Trek FX7.2 fitness-hybrid bike and 700 x 35 tires, the fenders fit perfectly. Attaching the rear fender near the front chain ring was the only relative difficult attachment as I had to remove my kickstand and use a cable tie (which was included with the fenders) to secure it. The rest of it was not a problem. This is not a set of fenders that is a quick-remove type but since I don't plan on removing them, it's not an issue to me. It looks great as well. I've now had these for about 6 weeks. Unfortunately, I hit a squirrel which caused damage to my front fender, but was able to bend the front fender rods back into shape (fenders probably actually saved my spokes from damage). Other than that incident, which is obviously not the fault of the manufacturer, I've been very happy with them. Great Value by: on: 27-Apr 2010 Very light weight, yet rugged. I installed these on my GT Windstream Hybrid with little effort. The front fender could use a 2nd set of bars too keep it straighter, but it is not a big deal. Both fenders provide plenty of clearence from the wheels & do a gread job of protecting you from the wet road. Excellent value. Most bike shops charge you $35+ for a single fender. getting the pair at this price was well worth it. Get the job done. by: on: 27-Feb 2010 They keep me dry while commuting, but they are not the most sturdy attachments. Mine have not stayed straight and the instructions say to use zip ties to attach it to the back tire. Just not quite what I expected. They do work however. Great fenders by: on: 20-Jan 2010 I bought a set of these for my commuter since they were cheap, expecting to get something that rattled and jiggled like no other before disintegrating. However, once I received them I was gladly proven wrong. Installation: Very easy and quick to install. I put them on a touring/commuting style frame with 700x35 tires. They were very easy to get aligned and attached. Appearance: These fenders look sharp and of quality. I've received many compliments on how good my bike looks. I only wish they sold a silver set at this price. Performance: It's been raining/snowing here for several weeks and these fenders have saved my clothing time and time again. The snow/ice will cake up inside of them, but a quick shake and it falls out. They haven't come loose at all, and several blocks of my commute are on brick roads which are very bumpy. Still no rattling. They also fit under my rear rack with plenty of clearance. Durability: While getting this bike down from it's rack I smacked the rear fender against the wall quite hard. The fender bounced right back to shape and was perfectly fine. I imagine that if you really hit something hard the mounting hardware might bend, but the plastic more than likely won't crack. Overall, you can't beat these fenders, especially for the price. I purchased a second pair for my trail bike, and will most likely purchase more for other bikes. The only drawback of these fenders is that they only come in 1 color, but I can live with that considering how good these are. View All ReviewsView All Fenders |
