Way better than the mass market alternatives.       rating

In short, as a longtime German car and Campy Record equipped bike owner I can say that this tool is at that same quality level. For the same price as the "popular" tools, this SKS tool is made more precisely, and features stronger tools. Don't waste your time with the others. End of story!
Good product other knife styles might have more tools though.       rating

We have other itty bike tools that contain more tools but this will be a nice addition & my main set of tools for my carry along. I will make a pocket addition inside to keep the extra tiny tools from falling out & getting lost. I'll just sew up a rectangle sized to sew inside the back of case it comes with with an extra 1.5" of fabric above the rectangle. I'll slip the loose tools into pocket & fold the fabric lip over them & tuck into the self pocket. Should hold them from falling out every time I open & withdraw the other tools. Also you can slip the directions inside the case. Maybe not once I add the pocket but I'll be using ripstop taffeta very light weight so maybe directions will still fit. If not I'll copy & laminate into a couple of quick reads or cheater cards made to slip inside case. PS if you plan on a trip and need maps out of a book you might consider making your own maps via scan resize & print to fit on bike. Laminate each sheet & double side then punch holes along one top edge & insert rings to attach to handle bars with velcro tape that attaches to self. Three rings should do the trick. And you could carry a flip book of a variety of maps to an area or region. We will make one map series for each Island of the San Juans for three riders. At the end of the trip if they are still in good condition we can bind them together add a few event pictures laminted also to have a momento of our trip. And having the maps to look back at will be nice to recall where we were when we took the photos too. You could add a front and back cover or not....lots of creative choices here. Half page laminators that do 6x4 photos or you can even find 9 inch sleeve laminators that would do half sized 8.5x11 inch standard paper laminations or photo paper. Check on line for reasonable priced lamination sleeves I mean cheap 3 to 5 mil sizes. Say under 10 dollars for 100 sleeves...you pay a fortune to have it laminated for you but DIY! Always think outside of the box.....

This tool kit is a carefully engineered masterpiece. The practicality in craftsmanship makes this a must have for the serious bike enthusiast. The number of tools compacted in the case about the size of a pack of cigarettes makes for easy storage in a small bike pack or even a shirt pocket. MLBaron westislandweather.com
