It has worked flawlessly, actually it is the quietest "transmission" I have ever used on any bicycle. Smooth shifting without any "rattling" back there. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a good commuting bike derailleur. I am even considering buying it for my other 3 bicycles. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it would have been great to receive instructions on how to install it. Great replacement by: on: 03-Oct 2008 Bought this because the original derailleur on my bike bent into the spokes after only 1 year of use. This one worked properly and was very cheap (the same one on another site was over $75). Shimano RD-TX70 Tourney Rear Derailleur 6/7 Speed Direct Mount  by: on: 30-Sep 2008 This derailleur came on my daughter's bike and it bent and broke during the first couple of weeks she had the bike. I ordered this because it was a direct replacement (the model number of the original is hard to find, it's stamped into the back side of the housing).
