Under the hump       rating

I used to scoff at the Camelbackers, fretting over hydration so much so that they carried virtual lakes on their backs, needing to have the life giving tube within inches of their lips in case of imminent desiccation. Well, look at me now! I too am now sporting the aqueous hump, blue tube at the ready, daring the drying sun to do its worst. This pack has great storage, and a plethora of little pockets, loops, clips and pouches. My old pack was basically one big nylon bag with shoulder straps, capacious but charmless. The Camelbak has lots of charm, not the least contained in the elegantly understated blue bladder. In a pinch, an impromptu super soaker can be made of the aforementioned novelty. Surprisingly, the water from said bladder does not have a strong plastic taste. The design of the pack is such that even with a full load of H2O, lunch, spare clothes and emergency gear the weight easy to bear, and the sweaty back syndrome is mitigated by the air channel between skin and nylon. I like the pouch behind the waist strap which is perfect for keys or the ubiquitous cell phone. I just can't wait to get thirsty on the trail again!
Comfortable, big and simple.       rating

Great fit, barely feel the weight on my back. Unlike my last backpack this seems to better balance and distribute the weight. Gotta say this thing needs more pockets and the mesh middle pocket is not well designed. All in all I am glad I purchased this pack and its works great for my daily bike ride to college.

Lots of pockets with good capacity. Well made. High capacity bladder. I would like to see adjustments for the top side of the straps like those on my overnight pack. When the bladder is full it tends to pull back on your shoulders. It would be nice to have strap adjustments at the shoulders to keep the weight forward at the top when needed. Overall, a good product at a good price. I Would recommend this to others.

I bought this for a missionary doctor in the jungles of Honduras. He loves the large water capacity combined with the storage space. He rides 4 hrs on a dirt bike to get to some villages. This is a great camelback product
