Works great! I wish that I had purchased it earlier and saved myself some headaches.
Tire Bead Jack Prevents Pinch Flats       rating

I recently purchased some Specialized Armadillo Nimbus tires for my commuter bike. They were a bit tight on my Alexrims TD 17 rims. In spite of using my thumbs and being careful, I ended up with 2 pinch flats before finally getting it right. Next time, with the tire bead jack, I was able to lift the bead over the rim without pinching the inner tube. Last night, I put a Continental 700 x 23 training tire on my road bike. Becasue of the very tight beads on these tires, this would have been impossible for me to do without the bead jack. Just "walking" the tire bead up and over the rim in small steps as opposed to trying to lift it over in one pull worked very well. The jack is made of hard plastic and is not small. It measures 8.5" long with the handle just under 1" wide. It goes into my top pack on my commmuter bike quite easily and fits into the back pocket of a cycling jersey. Great buy for the price.
A great idea, but a cheap tool       rating

This tool did an amazing job of mounting a bike tire. Once. On the second tire, about 5 minutes after opening the package, the hook snapped off the end. There are better tools like this out there, I'd recommended paying a few dollars more and getting one made of metal, like the VAR Tyre tool.

Was replacing my summer tires with some very difficult to get on more seasonal treads. Had a horrific time trying to get the final few inches over my Mavic rims. Tool definitely helped and is a real thumb saver for those extra tight tires.
