Totally useless. Not waterproof and batteries move out of place. rating

I liked the brightness of this light very much and the ease with which it could be attached to the bike and removed. Liked it so much I purchased 2 of them. Unfortunatley, now that I've used the lights a few months, they no longer work. (Same problem with both, so it isn't an isolated case.)

The problem is that the batteries are not held into their positions solidly because the rubberized outer covering which is supposed to be the backing for the battery compartment, doesn't hold the batteries in tightly or securely. Result is that the batteries jiggle loose from the contacts and I have to slap the light to get it to work, and then, once I hit a bump, they jiggle loose again and the thing stops working.

In addition, the rubberized housing allows water to seep into the battery compartment. Result... the contacts are now corroded and I had to throw this useless light away today after only a few months of use. This happened on both lights.

This light is in serious need of a backing for the plastic battery housing that will hold the batteries in tightly and that will do a much better job of keeping the battery compartment dry. Until that happens, I strongly recommend you avoid this light unless you live somewhere it doesn't rain and the roads are smooth as glass.
