Product Description: The Adams Trail-a-Bike Original Folder tandem bicycle makes long and short bike trips fun and accessible for the entire family. Ideal for 4- to 6-year-old children who have outgrown the bike trailer, but who cant keep up on their own bikes yet, the Trail-a-Bike folder is the perfect transitional option for family outings. Designed with a unique and patented top tube radius to fit both 26-inch and 700c wheeled adult bicycles, the Trail-a-Bike allows young children, up to 85 pounds, to pedal along with the grownups, learn the rules of the road while protected and guided by an adult rider, and bike farther than they could on their own bike. The Adams Trail-a-Bike Original Folder has an easy folding mechanism that makes it smaller than any other tandem bike design, for convenient storage and transportation. The entry-level tandem bicycle has a single speed with kid-sized handlebar grips, pedals, and saddle for optimum comfort as well as a low center of gravity and low positioning of the child for more stability. The Trail-A-Bike has a patented top tube radius that fits most adult bikes and features a large and sturdy universal-joint hitch, with four shims to fit most seatposts. Among other convenient aspects of the Trail-a-Bike, the design allows for the use of panniers without interference. Designed for safety, the Trail-a-Bike is equipped with an integrated chain ring protector for less mess, easier storage and transportation, and to protect from chain-related accidents, as well as a flag for increased visibility. Reviews We love this! by: on: 06-Nov 2009 We bought this for our 4 1/2 year old daughter so we could all go out riding together. She picked out the pink one (her favorite color) and after a few minutes of my husband installing it on his bike, we were off and riding. I would definitely recommend it. In fact, we are going to order a second hitch for my bike so we can attached the Trail-a-bike to my bike and I can take her out just the two of us. Very Nice Unit by: on: 20-Sep 2009 The unit was very easy to assemble and attach to the bike. I have had no problem with this trail a bike aside from the hole in the tube upon receipt. I had to have the inner tube replaced in order to ride the bike for the first time. It is easy to pull and my son thoroughly enjoys riding this with me. He is learning to balance very quickly with continued use of this bike. I would highly reccommend this to anyone. Disappointed by: on: 05-Sep 2009 Received the item quickly, which was great. My husband had to spend couple of hours to assemble. The holes did not line up and he had to redo all of them. Once it was all put together and to be a surprise for our 4yr old daughter, the tire had gone flat. Come to find out it had a bad tire tube, had to go get a new one. Finally ready to go, she got on and couldn't reach the pedals well enough to ride and was scared to death. Our daughter will be 5 in Dec and is tall for her age (45 1/2 inches). The details of the item said for 4 and up. Over all very disappointed! great trail a bike by: on: 20-Aug 2009 After reading many reviews, I finally chose this one and we're very happy with it. It attaches easily and tightly to our road bike and does not wobble at all when attached like some others I have read about. Great product overall! View All ReviewsView All Trailers |
