The Launch 5.0 is has a 7005 aluminum fame with a hydroformed top tube.
Hydroforming is a process that allows bending, drawing, and butting of
metal without creasing or overworking it.
The Launch has an active rear suspension with adjustable geometry. The
bike has a mix of XT and LX components with Race Face Prodigy DH cranks,
Magura Clara disc brakes, and more.

At 23 pounds, the Team SL Carbon is one of the lightest, stiffest full
suspension bikes in the world. The frame is Plasma 6000 aluminum main
frame gussetted with disc mounts and an integrated headset. The seat strut
is carbon fiber. The rear shock is a 2002 Noleen air-pull shock with adjustable
preload and damping. The front shock is a Rock Shox SID Race. The rest
of the components are XT and XTR, with formula B4 hydraulic disc brakes,
and a Race Face Turbine crank and more.
